Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash.
The incident happened at around 4.30pm yesterday in Witham Road, Cressing.
A man suffered chest injuries and a woman suffered injuries to her collar bone.
Both were taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford for further treatment.
A third patient was wounded but not taken to hospital.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We got a call at 4.35pm to a two-vehicle crash.
"We sent three ambulance crews, a paramedic and a rapid response officer.
"The two patients' injuries were not life-threatening."
The incident was cleared by 6.50pm.
