Juggling, magic and dancing are among just some of the entertainment set to come to Colchester’s Arena in the new year.

The leisure venue is set to host Circus Starr on Saturday January 10, with performances at 1.30pm and 4pm.

The circus boasts talented performers from across the globe, including Peanuts the Clown, who is guaranteed to get audiences laughing, dancing and cheering with a comical mix of tricks, jokes and pranks.

Meanwhile Robert the Ringmaster will try to keep his cheeky counterpart in check.

Circus Starr Director Neville Wilson said: “We always do everything in our power to accommodate our audiences’ needs by providing reserved wheelchair spaces, front row seats for the blind and visually impaired and a wonderfully relaxed autism-friendly environment for any child that may need to shout out, dance about or just take time out.”

Circus Starr has been visiting communities for more than 28 years and is a community interest company that supports disabled underprivileged and vulnerable children across the UK, through a 75-venue tour held three times a year.

Each year it donates more than £1.37million of free tickets to local children’s charities and support groups.

Any surplus funds raised by the show are donated to a Charity of the Year partner in each of the towns it visits.

The charity partner for Colchester is EACH (East Anglia's Children's Hospices).

Any business wishing to buy a ticket that will send a local child to enjoy some circus magic should call the Circus Starr fundraising team on 01260 288690.
