TRAVELLERS left Colchester United's ground after 11 days and a court order only to break into another site opposite a school.

Six caravans with more than 30 occupants arrived at the Weston Homes Community Stadium on Sunday, September 21.

Fences were ripped apart to gain access to the site.

The uninvited guests were given a direction to leave, by the Essex Countywide Travellers' Units, but ignored it.

Requests from the club for them to leave were also ignored.

On Tuesday a court order was granted allowing bailiffs to evict them so they left in the evening, drove about two miles and pitched up at the Thomas Bates & Son Ltd site off Carters Hill, opposite Boxted St Peter’s Primary School.
