A SHIP build project is heading to Westminster for a fundraising evening.
A VIP guided tour of the House of Commons in London, a champagne reception in the Strangers' dining room and a banquet in the members' dining room is hoped to be held to help raise cash for the ambitious project to build a replica of the pilgrim ship The Mayflower.
Plans for the event also include a special fine art auction to raise funds for the Harwich based Mayflower Project, which hopes to sail the lifesize replica ship to America on the 400th anniversary of the historic voyage.
The event is hoped to he held on November 14, be hosted by Harwich MP Bernard Jenkin and include guest speakers.
Tickets are limited but Mayflower descendants from America are being invited to attend.
