A THEATRE group is holding an evening of music, songs, poetry and sketches to commemorate a century since the outbreak of the First World War.

Kerry King is directing the production called Lest We Forget for the Manifest Theatre Group, based in Oxford Road, Manningtree.

All members have been busy learning lines and decorating the theatre in Union Jacks for what is sure to be a pair of poignant performances.

The shows take place at 7.30pm on Friday August 29 and Saturday August 30 with tickets available from the Manifest Theatre between 10.30am and noon on Saturdays and between 7.30pm and 9pm on Monday and Wednesday evening by calling 01206 391309.

Tickets are £5 for members and £6 for visitors with proceeds to be shared with the Royal British Legion.
