ELECTRO-SWING, folk mashups and gentlemanly hip-hop will be among the sounds of a Chelmsford arts festival this year.

The line-up of musical acts coming to play at the Fling Festival when the event arrives at Hylands Park on Saturday June 28.

An eclectic mix of performers will be entertaining the crowds at the event which brings together many different artforms for a whole day of fun.

Among the highlights is multi-instrumentalist Kid Kasino who has wowed audiences around the world with his spectacular show mixing DJ sets with double bass, drums and horns.

Also on the bill with his personally styled “chap-hop” is Mr B The Gentleman Rhymer who raps using the Queen’s English while playing a banjolele.

Other acts coming to play at the festival which is being held at Hylands for the first time having previously been at hosted in Central Park include hip-hop duo Dizraeli and Downlow.

Chelmsford-based ecltroc-ska band The Kubricks are also playing at the festival along with rock band NIFE and synth-pop group F.O.X who have received praise from Depeche Mode’s Dave Gahan.

Tickets are on sale for the event which runs from 12noon to 11pm with prices currently on an early bird rate of £20 for normal entry and £35 for VIP.
