Man suffers serious injuries in car crash
A 20-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a road crash.
Firefighters were called to a collison involving two vehicles on Burnham Road, Latchingdon, on Thursday May 15 at around 9.45am.
Crews from Maldon, South Woodham Ferrers and Leigh were all at the scene.
The man was trapped in his car for over an hour and fire crews used two sets of specialist cutting equipment to release him.
He was freed by 10.45am and airlifted to Colchester General Hospital by the Essex Air Ambulance.
Two other people involved in the accident suffered minor injuries.
