Burnham: Campaigners fury at being 'ignored' by council

Burnham Town Council has been blasted for continuing to ignore residents' pleas to fund a planning consultant to fight proposals for 450 new homes in the town.

An anti-development campaign group is now suggesting the need to "unseat most of them [the councillors] as soon as possible".

Residents believed that councillors would decide on the possibility of a consultant at tonight’s town council meeting after the idea had been brought up at an August town council meeting.

But the proposition, which was backed by hundreds of residents, is not even due to be discussed.

Instead the councillors will discuss the option of spending the extra £25,000 of the town council’s precept on a hi-tech sweeping machine.

A superior hich tech sweeping machine is called a "human". Far superior to any gadget.
