Maldon: Primary school pupils paint Olympic-themed mural
Pupils at the Maldon Court Preparatory School have shown off their Olympic-themed mural to visitors.
The artwork features hand-painted flags of each country taking part in the Olympics, after the children were tasked to find out about each one.
More than 120 pupils, from reception class to Year Six, created the mural and added their own handprints next to a silhouette of the London skyline and the five Olympic rings.
The mural was on display to the public on Saturday.
Art teacher Coralie Saggs said: “This mural was a true work of art, and one in which past pupils can return to see.
“We were delighted to welcome a number of visitors on the day who were amazed at the work done by the children.”
