A village church was packed with blooms for a special Queen-themed flower festival.

More than 100 people enjoyed the patriotic displays at St Thomas Church, in High Street, Bradwell, on the first day and a half of the festival, which took place last weekend.

The festival was devised to represent a journey through a year in the Queen’s diary, starting at Sandringham in January.

Churchgoer David Thorpe, one of the organisers, was delighted with the displays, but frustrated by the disruption caused by ongoing roadworks ahead of the construction of the ten-turbine wind farm at Hockley Farm.
