Crime in Maldon rose in August, according to latest police statistics.
The most up-to-date figures on the police.uk website indicated overall crime in the Maldon town area, including parts of Heybridge, climbed from 138 crimes in July to 155 in August.
Burglaries, vehicle crime and thefts other than shoplifting all rose, while four robberies and an instance of public disorder and weapons were also recorded.
Antisocial behaviour fell fractionally from 59 instances in July to 58 in August.
Crime was also on the increase in Burnham - going up from 41 crimes in July to 46 in August.
