Maldon: Badge of woe for angry Enid
An elderly couple have hit out at red tape causing the renewal of blue badges to take ten times longer than previously.
Pensioner Enid Lodge, 85, has now finally received the new blue badge, but the wait of three months and two days has left her and husband Alfred, 85, effectively trapped in their own home.
The couple of Volwycke Avenue, Maldon, said the old renewal method meant they would only wait about ten days for a new badge, but new regulations make the process "difficult".
