Some of district’s most talented artists have been showcasing their work as part of the fifth annual Maldon Art Trail.

Hundreds of people have taken the opportunity to peruse around the various shops, cafes and other venues exhibiting the work since the trail sprung into life last Saturday.

Among the standout attractions so far have been this year’s sculpture trail, which is again being housed at the Museum of Power in Langford, and a special installation featuring the work of some of the district’s schools in the Bewick Suite at The Swan in Maldon High Street.

On Saturday, some 170 children also got the chance to try their hand at various art mediums when a series of free workshops were staged at Maldon Town Hall.
