Essex: Fatal three-car smash
Police and the ambulance service were called to a crash on the Shenfield Road, in Shenfield just after 10am today.
Three cars were involved and the driver of one of the cars has sadly died. Police believe that he may have been taken ill prior to the crash.
The 59 year old man from Cambridgeshire was driving a VW Passat which was in collision with a Ford Fusion and a Ford Fiesta.
The other drivers and passengers were uninjured.
The road was closed until 1pm while officers investigated the crash.
