The doctor who saved a horror crash victim’s life took her place in a race across Scotland’s mountains at the weekend.
Dr Jonty Robinson, who works for Essex Air Ambulance, rescued Jackie Stretton, 25, from Johnston Way, Maldon, when she was seriously injured in a four-car crash in Danbury.
Sports fanatic Jackie suffered a broken vertebrae, a broken leg, bruised lungs and bleeding and bruising to the brain after the crash on April 4.
She was airlifted to Romford Hospital, where she was put in an induced coma.
Former Air Cadet Jackie applied to compete in Saturday’s day-long race across the Scottish Highlands months before the crash.
But her serious injuries have prevented her from taking part.
