Latchingdon: Pre-school cheers permanent home Latchingdon: Pre-school cheers permanent home

Children in Latchingdon are in buoyant mood after their own permanent pre-school building was opened.

Latchingdon Pre-School had previously been based at the village hall in Burnham Road, but after a determined two year search now has a home of its own.

Its base, which includes a new £15,000 grant-funded toilet facility, was opened at Latchingdon Primary School, in The Street, last Friday.

Manager Nikki Rayner said: “Our numbers have reduced slightly, but we can now stay set up every day rather than having to pack everything away.

“It’s much more settled for the children and when they start school the transition is much better because they already know the building and it’s not so scary.”
