A busy week of activities and advice is under way for children in the district.

Year six pupils from all of the Maldon district’s 19 primary schools are attending the Crucial Crew workshops at the Minerva Centre in Mundon.

Organised by the Maldon District Community Safety Partnership, bodies including Essex Police, Essex Fire Service, Chelmsford and Maldon Emergency Planning, East England Ambulance service, AlcoHELP, Maldon’s Plume School , Maldon District Council ’s park rangers and Essex County Council ’s road safety have been on hand to offer advice about a range of subjects, including health, internet safety and dealing with bullying.

About 600 pupils will take part in the five-day event, which started on Monday and concludes tomorrow.
