Tillingham: Farm blaze treated as suspicious
Police are treating a farm blaze in Tillingham as suspicious.
Fire crews were called to a tractor that was on fire in Tillingham Hall Farm, Marsh Road, last Tuesday evening.
The tractor belonged to local family-run business Skeggs Straw, which purchases and sells straw.
The fire also involved a baler vehicle.
Two crews attended the incident and had the fire under control within an hour.
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is carrying out an investigation and liaising with police.
A neighbouring farmer said: “The fire was pretty big - the tractor was completely on fire.
“I heard there was an electrical fault with one of the tractors.”
Skeggs Straw declined to comment.
