Maldon: Crime on the decline in town
Crime in Maldon fell in July, according to the latest police statistics.
The most up-to-date figures on the police.uk website, which gives a detailed monthly breakdown of the crimes committed in individual areas, indicate that overall crime in the Maldon town area, including parts of Heybridge, fell from 99 crimes in June to 79 in July.
Vehicle crime, criminal damage and arson, thefts other than shoplifting, drug-related crimes and public disorder were all down.
Instances of antisocial behaviour climbed slightly from 56 in June to 59 in July.
