Burnham: Residents brandish street a 'nightmare' over anti-social behaviour Burnham: Residents brandish street a 'nightmare' over anti-social behaviour

Burnham residents have brandished their street a “nightmare” amid claims gangs of youths plague the area.

Residents of Eastern Road have claimed youths regularly smash bottles, take drugs and are generally rowdy and loud on their street corner between Blackwater Close.

Marie Warren, 34, a carer, who lives on Eastern Road, said: “It has been terrible.

“Fences have been punched through, people just hang out on that corner and drink and do drugs, including adults.

“It’s been a nightmare living near it.

“Things are calming down a bit now and we are having less trouble."

Another resident on the road, who did not want to be named, said: “Ever since the primary school was knocked down and they built the houses it’s brought the whole tone of the road down."
