Burnham: Kayaker struck by lightening remembered at funeral
The funeral of a kayaker from Burnham who died after being struck by lightening took place last week.
Keith Kirkum, 59, of Regents Court, died after taking his kayak out alone in Bradwell on August 6.
A dog walker found his body the following day on Bradwell beach.
His clothing was found burnt.
Horses and a carriage made a magnificent display as they carried Keith’s body to the service at United Reformed Church last Wednesday.
Charlotte Kelly, 61, his partner of 25 years, said: “It was absolutely beautiful, a very dignified affair.
“The black horses looked incredible and people stood and watched them go by. It was priceless."
