Maldon: Salt now has Kosher status Maldon: Salt now has Kosher status

Maldon’s finest export now has Kosher status.

A jewish rabbi from Manchester visited the Maldon Sea Salt factory at Wycke Hill Business Park, Maldon, to inspect the process of producing the salt.

Steven Osborne, the managing director of Maldon Sea Salt, organised Rabbi Steiner from Manchester Beth Din certifiers to inspect the salt after people from Isreal wanted to buy it.

He said: “Having Kosher status opens many new doors for Maldon salt as many people are using it to know the quality of the product.

“It means we can export it to many more markets across the world.”

Maldon Sea Salt currently ships the salt to 45 countries and hopes to make Isreal its 46th.
