Osea Island: Island hits tv screens after welcoming Andrew Lloyd-Webber
Osea Island hit television screens this month after playing host to musicals mogul Andrew Lloyd-Webber and 40 contestants hoping to land the lead role in his forthcoming Superstar production.
The 400-acre island in the River Blackwater , near Heybridge Basin, also welcomed the ITV show’s presenter Amanda Holden and judges Jason Donovan and Mel C.
The former Spice Girl will play lead lady in the musical rock opera, performing alongside whichever contestant lands the part of Jesus.
Filming on what was dubbed ‘Superstar Island’ took place during April and followed discussions music producer Nigel Frieda, who owns the island.
