Maldon: School bids to write Maldon in the record books

A school is calling on residents and businesses to help propel Maldon into the record books.

Plume School is hoping to set a new world record by getting more than 2,288 people to take part in a virtual aerobics class on its 3G sports pitch, in Fambridge Road, on July 6 to mark the passing of the symbolic Olympic flame earlier the same day.

The event, which already has the backing of Maldon District Council and Maldon Business Association, will open at 10am, with a warm up starting at 10.20am and the 30-minute main session commencing at 10.30am.
