Detectives are renewing their appeal for information following a burglary in Colchester in which a number of army medals, including a Queen’s Jubilee medal, were stolen.
The break-in happened when thieves forced their way into a house on Mario Way during Monday lunchtime (May 21) and stole the medals, including one for long service, Afghanistan service medal, a Bosnian service medal, a Sierra Leone service medal an MVO medal in recognition of service to the Royal family and a Queen’s Jubilee medal.
They belong to an army Captain currently serving at Colchester Barracks.
The picture shows miniature replicas of those stolen.
They will be engraved around the edge with the name Umesh Kumar and service number 21162984.
