It was the fourteenth year the event has been held and it was as successful as ever with both staff and students enjoying the good food and good company, according to Carol Head, pastoral support manager for the sixth form.

On the night A-Level awards were presented to students for the following subjects: Zara Travers - art and headgirl Stuart Glover - biology, chemistry and headboy Nicole Ferris - business studies and student of the year Cassandra Valentine - BTEC business studies Edward Phillips - English literature Sally Mann - health and social care Hazel Foulser - ICT Susan Bending - law Jasmine Shofique - media Lisa Aldridge - psychology Daniel Smith - product design George Parlour - sport Aimee Riley - textiles Mrs Head also thanked Burnham’s Rotary Club and Keith Monaghan, link governor, for their “generous contributions” of £100 each towards Pete’s week - the sixth form’s annual charity week - which starts on Monday July 13.

Students are hoping to top last year’s total of £2,800 so are aiming for at least £3,000 which will be divided between Wateraid, Little Havens Childrens’ Hospice, the Teenage Cancer Trust and St Peter’s Sixth Form Fund.
