A business in Maldon is making healthy dog snacks to sell in pubs across the area.

“Bark Snacks” are homemade dog treats that are being sold inside pubs around the Maldon area.

The packaging for the food is also recyclable and transforms into a temporary waterproof bowl for water.

A spokesman for Bark Snacks said: “I have been trialling Bark Snacks with local pubs and cafes with great results.

“Feedback from customers and pubs has been very positive with lots of repeat custom.

“Customers have loved being able to give their dog healthy food while out and about, and feel welcome with their dog.

A spokesman for The Anchor pub in Danbury said: “People love coming to our pub and they love their dogs.

“It has a long shelf life and it comes in its own bowl, so it is clean and easy for us, with a decent margin.
