A Maldon blues musician will be coming back from his travels to finish his world tour. Brooks Williams will be performing at his last stop, the The Blue Boar on Silver Street, on Sunday, April 29.

His international tour “Brooks Solo!” has made stops in California and South Carolina in the USA.

Brooks Williams, from Statesboro, Georgia, USA, creates a super-charged acoustic music that draws heavily on both his blues and Americana roots.

In 2013, Williams was nominated best male vocalist by Spiral Earth.

With twenty-two albums to his name, including his latest 2017 release “Brooks’ Blues”, music reviewers AmericanaUK said “he has a beautiful voice that you just melt into”.

Ranked in the top 100 acoustic guitarists by Digital Green Door, he has played alongside acts like Taj Mahal, John Hammond, Paul Jones, Little Feat, Maria Muldaur, Shawn Colvin and Leo Kottke among many more.

A regular performer in Maldon, he also runs an annual weekend workshop at The Blue Boar Hotel where a small, focused group can chill and immerse themselves in all things guitar in the pleasure of his company and expert guidance.

Tickets are £15 for the show which begins at 8pm.

They can be bought from the Maldon Tourist Information Centre or online at www.mactheatre.org.uk.
