FOUND: The engraved walking stick was found at a bus station in Spital Road, Maldon.
A WALKING stick with distinct badges and markings has been found in Maldon.
Resident John Lea was waiting at the bus stop on Spital Road near the town centre on August 1 when he found the stick propped up on the railings by the stop.
It is an old walking stick with a steel pointed ferule covered in around 30 small metal souvenir badges, some of which are religious, but none appear to be newly attached.
One of the badges is clearly marked Garmisch.
The stick is being held by John and has been reported to Essex Police.
