PLANS to demolish a house and residential annexe to be replaced with three new houses has been refused.
A bid was put to Maldon District Council to demolish a house and annexe on Fullbridge Quay in Maldon and replace it with three new houses with terraces, parking and gardens.
The plans have been refused, with the council stating the design and appearance of them would be contrived, cramped and an ‘incongruous’ form of development that would damage the landscape and look of the area.
They also highlighted that there were huge flood risks involved and the car parking spaces would be insufficient.
