TO four Good Samaritans: Janet from Little Totham, her sister Helen from Chelmsford, Peter a community bus driver from Chelmsford and lastly Ian.
Janet and Helen stayed with me when I had a fall outside Maldon Library last Thursday and took me to Specsavers to have my glasses repaired.
Ian passed by in his van, saw the commotion, returned to his van to fetch a plaster to cover the cut on my eye. What a lovely man.
Peter was inside Specsavers and offered me a lift home rather than have me waiting for a bus.
However, Janet and Helen returned to collect me having taken my prescription to Longfield Medical Centre (where I was originally headed) and then Ian, who had borrowed a friend’s car, volunteered to take me home.
My eye is fine and no lasting bruises.
A huge thank you to you all for your kindness and care. I shall never forget you and I hope at least one of you gets to read this missive.
