Man arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and causing criminal damage after incident in High Street
A MAN has been released under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and causing criminal damage.
Police were called to Maldon High Street at about 12.20pm on Wednesday after reports of a disturbance.
The man was reported to have been verbally aggressive towards members of the public and damaged property at a barber’s shop.
A 27-year-old man from Maldon was arrested and has since been released under investigation.
