MALDON’S Museum in the Park is looking to fill a number of volunteer vacancies.
The museum needs to appoint a chairman, volunteer co-ordinator and accessions officer.
The chairman role involves overall management of the museum, volunteers, risk assessment and health and safety issues.
They would also be expected to chair monthly meetings and liaison meetings with Maldon District Council.
The volunteer co-ordinator role involves maintaining stewards’ records, preparing rotas and recruiting.
Applicants for the accessions officer would be involved in the administration and care of the museum collection.
Training will be given for all roles and applicants should have good communication and basic computer skills.
They must also live in the Maldon district.
The positions sought would suit a retired person with a keen interest in history.
