A WOMAN was found dead at a house in Burnham after firefighters forced their way into her home.
Firefighters, police, and ambulance crews all attended the scene on Western Road, Burnham, at around 1.30pm on Tuesday, January 10.
Ambulance crews were called at 1.19pm to the address, before requesting help from firefighters to gain access to the house at 1.23pm.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Police and ambulance staff attended Western Road, Burnham-on-Crouch at around 2.20pm on Tuesday January 10.
"A 61-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
