PLANS are in place for a huge school reunion next year to help raise money for multiple charities.

A massive reunion is planned for pupils of Maldon’s Plume Academy who graduated between 1986 and 1996 next summer, with all proceeds going to the Rainbow Trust, Cancer UK and the Air Ambulance charities.

The organisers of the reunion are appealing to anyone formerly of the Plume to get involved and come along to the event, with the hope of raising several thousand pounds for charity.

It will be taking place at some point in either July or August next year, with the estimated ticket price of £10 per person. There are plans to include a raffle, refreshments, various forms of live entertainment, and the chance to re-connect with past classmates.

Leansa Hawkes, one of the organisers, said: “I’ve helped run previous reunions in other schools before and they’ve gone very well, I’m really looking forward to doing one for the Plume.

“We’re inviting graduates over a decade, hopefully this should prove very popular as we’ve had lots of interest already.

“We’ve lots more planning to do, but anyone interested is welcome to join our Facebook group to get involved.”

The reunion will be taking place at Plume’s Fambridge Road campus next summer.
