A BOND themed night of entertainment is set to take place in aid of the Maldon mayor’s chosen charities.

The entertainment evening will take place on Saturday at the Town Hall from 7.30pm until midnight.

The event will include a fun casino, with great prizes available, as well as magicians providing entertainment.

All money raised from the event will go towards the Mayor’s chosen charities: the Maldon and District Stroke Support Group, the Moot Hall Educational Program, the youth section of Maldon Rugby Club, and the Maldon Youth Orchestra.

Mayor, Richard Miller, explained his choices: “This was a really hard thing to do because it started off with a list of about 40 charities.

“I wanted to do things for sporting young people involved in activities around the town, but also for older people who may have had some misfortune, like a stroke.

“I wanted the money to stay local and support groups who did not get any form of formal funding. These charities seemed like the perfect picks.”

Tickets for the event are £25 and can be purchased by contacting Maldon Town Hall on 01621 857373.
