A BURNHAM man has been rushed to hospital in a life threatening condition after collapsing.
Ambulance crews were sent to a property near Southminster Road this afternoon, after a man in his 70’s collapsed.
After treating him at the scene, crews took him to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital in what was described as a “serious life threatening condition.”
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 1.03pm to a residential address near Southminster Road, Burnham.
“We sent an ambulance officer, two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, a community first responder and the air ambulance.
“We treated a male patient in his 70’s who had collapsed and was in a serious life threatening condition.
“We took him to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital.”
