THE ANNUAL ‘It’s Showtime’ event proved a huge success again this year, raising money for Little Haven’s Children’s Hospice.
The event took place on Sunday at Purleigh Halt, on Barons Lane, Purleigh.
Amongst the attractions were dog shows, classic cars, live music, tractor races and plough horses.
Organiser, Tony Turner said it was one of the best events the group had held.
He said: “It went very well. The attendance was a little down on last year but the weather was lovely and all of the events were great.
“We had a very good mix of stuff this year. We had classic cars, god shows, machinery, tractors, plough horses, a load of different things.
“The bands we had down were brilliant. We also had the traditional stalls with food and crafts, as well as local wine and beer.
“It is among the top ones we have done for sure. Getting a good day weather wise is always a good start.”
In the 13 years the show has been running, it has raised over £70,000 for Little Haven’s.
The group hopes that this year’s total will see them pass £80,000.
The event will run again next year, but in a new two day format, running over the Saturday and Sunday.
