MALDON mums have been sweating it out with their little ones as part of a new fitness group.

Buggy boot camps launched in Promenade Park in June and are run by Super Mamma Fitness.

The sessions, which take place on Tuesdays and Fridays, involve a mixture of cardio and boot camp style workouts.

Activities include buggy squats, buggy lunges, press ups and shoulder presses.

Sessions have proved so popular that extra dates have had to be added.

Lianne Powles, who runs the class, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer even more buggy boot camp classes and hope to see even more people coming along to enjoy an exciting exercise class in a lovely sociable setting.

“The sessions are very reasonably priced and inclusive for parents, grandparents and of course the children who will be in there buggies for the sessions.

“It’s a really up beat class, full of giggles while you get a sweat on in the great outdoors.”

Councillor Ron Pratt, Chairman of the Council’s community services committee, added: “I am pleased that the sessions have been a great success and are providing those attending a fantastic fitness session, as well as a really good social experience in a welcoming environment.”

The sessions take place on Tuesday mornings from 9.30am to 10.30am and Friday mornings from 9.30am to 10.30 am and 10.30am to 11.30am.
