BURNHAM GOLF CLUB hosted a golf day in celebration of Burnham Rugby Club and Burnham RNLI’s 50th anniversary.

The club was decorated with RNLI and Rugby Club bunting as fifteen teams of four took part in the tournament.

The day, dubbed ‘Clubbing together to celebrate a centenary’, proved a huge success.

Refreshments were provided by Marden Homes who supplied a half way bar for the golfers and the many spectators that turned out to watch.

At the end of a long day of golf was the awards ceremony.

Prizes were handed out by Dave Nicholls, representing Burnham RNLI, and Debbie Murray, representing Burnham Rugby Club.

The team in first place was the Rear Enders, who won by 8 points from the second placed team, RCYC, who finished with a score of 84 points.

The Rear Enders were presented with a hamper supplied and donated by Dan Hull, and a commemorative bread made especially for the occasion by Paul Smith.

Golf Club Captain, Roger Miles, was also presented with a bottle of champagne as a thank you for hosting the day.
