MALDON LIBRARY are celebrating National Bookstart Week from June 6.
As part of the celebrations the library will be holding a series of activities aimed at children up to the age five.
The children’s area of the library will be transformed into an aquarium.
A treasure hunt will be held throughout the week with a prize draw taking place at the end of the week.
There will also be craft activities available all week, with children making sea creatures for the display.
The library’s regular rhyme-time sessions will be taking place with an aquatic theme on June 7 at 2pm and June 10 at 11am.
On June 9 the Children’s Centre will have a sea themed sensory play session at 2pm.
All the events are free and children will be given a gift of a miniature book, rhyme sheet and shark hat.
