BEACH huts in Maldon’s Promenade Park can now be hired ahead of the summer season.
Maldon District Council introduced the eight coloured huts in the park in August.
The huts have electricity, cupboard space and a couple of chairs and can be hired every day throughout the year.
In the summer they are available for hire between 10.30am to 9pm or 30 minutes before dusk, whichever is earlier.
Ron Pratt, the Chairman of Maldon District Council’s Community Services Committee said; “The beach huts are a wonderful addition to the Promenade Park.
“They give our residents and visitors easy access to the facilities and a base to enjoy the park all day long. If you are thinking of coming with friends, why not book a beach hut between you?”
During peak times in school holidays and on Bank holidays the huts cost £40 a day.
The huts ate £25 per day from April to September and £20 a day from October to February.
