A young man has admitted one charge of causing death by careless driving.
Lewis Cross, 18, from Scraley Road, Heybridge, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today, Tuesday, October 13, charged in connection with the death of 67-year-old Michael Post from Maldon.
He sadly died following the collision in October 2014.
Cross was the driver of a Renault Clio which collided with a BMW being driven by Mr Post at 7.45pm on the A414 in Maldon.
Mr Post died at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
His wife, a passenger in their vehicle, suffered serious injuries.
Sentencing has been adjourned until November 13.
