A flower show was a “great success” despite power cuts and a marquee battered by bad weather.
Organisers of Tillingham Flower Show had more challenges to contend with than usual this year.
Friday night’s music on the green was halted after the Dengie experienced a power cut from 9.30pm.
That night strong winds also damaged the large 90ft by 30ft marquee, which ended up with “a massive hole” and had to be taken down.
Committee chairman Clint Tuckey said: “It actually went really well.
“We don’t normally have those problems, but it was another great event."
