Maldon District Council is recruiting for an “economic growth and prosperity” officer.

The role of the economic development officer has a salary of up to nearly £31,000 for 37 hours per week and the closing date for applications is today, July 8. 

The new recruit will be concerned with dealing with external funding, promoting tourism, supporting rural areas, carrying out research and overseeing projects.

The person would also have to establish a working relationship with the private sector and attract new employers to the district.
