Three fire crews were sent to a fire in a derelict building.
Crews were called to the scene, in Hullbridge Road, South Woodham Ferrers, at 6.59pm this evening.
Arriving at the scene crews reported the house, measuring 15m by 15m was 100 per cent alight.
The incident commander asked for an aerial ladder platform and water bowser to be called to the site to help extinguish the flames.
At the latest update, at 7.30pm, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were using one jet and three hoses to tackle the blaze.
