Suspect attempts to wrench open door to property
A suspect attempted to wrench a back door open with a spade.
The attempted burglary happened in Crescent Road, Maldon at 11.30am on December 1.
An unidentified suspect attempted to enter the house by banging on the front door.
The victim in the house did not answer and the male suspect started shouting “Stand where you are, police”.
The suspect broke into a shed at the back of the house, removed a spade and used it as a wrench to attempt to get into the back of the property causing £150 worth of damage.
He is described as white and slim with short black hair in a side parting and was wearing a navy top.
Anyone who has any information or witnesses suspicious activity should call Maldon Police Station on 101.
