Sainsbury's has not given up on plans to bring a store to Burnham.
Despite an apparent lack of progress on its development ambitions, the supermarket remains interested in bringing its name to town.
In April last year, Sainsbury’s indicated that it was looking to create 300 jobs, a petrol station, cafe and other features associated with larger stores, as opposed to a smaller scale outlet.
Three potential sites were shortlisted, but these were not made public.
However, since then the supermarket seems to be no further ahead with any plans.
This week, a Sainsbury’s spokesman said:”We are always looking at new opportunities for our stores, however we have no firm plans at present at this location.”
