Whether it be a thriving independent business or a dedicated volunteer, we will be sharing the most inspirational stories for our Pride in Burnham Campaign.
This time last year, the Burnham Sea Scout’s Hut was in urgent need of a revamp.
Luckily, one member of the community decided to take the project on and, within seven months, the hut was up and running and in such good condition that it is now taking bookings for wedding receptions and baby showers.
Mo Jay, of Glendale Road, got involved after seeing an advert calling for volunteers but was shocked by the state of the building, which needed new paintwork, a brand new brick wall and floors and a complete clear out.
