Whether it be a thriving independent business or a dedicated volunteer, we will be sharing the most inspirational stories for our Pride in Burnham campaign.
A woman who has set up five community groups has won an award for improving her town’s railway station.
Una Norman, of Winstree Road, Burnham, was honoured by Abellio Greater Anglia for her work transforming Burnham’s railway station since becoming a Station Adopter.
She has since organised various groups and organisations in the community to do their part at the railway, from decorating the boarded up windows of Station House to planting flowers in planters on the platform, and has also set up five community groups since moving to the town 44 years ago.
